Nollrocken 2002

(Me and some friends on stage.)

This was the night! It was 10th of September, 2002, I (on the drums) and a my fellow band mates (other students in my class) had prepared ourselves for a show at Nollrocken, Chalmers. We had created a band called didrik & the webscouts.

After a lot of other student-bands had played, it was our turn (this was about 10 PM I believe). We had rehearsed a few times during the two previous weeks and should now perform three songs:

  1. Webscout - this song is so stupid you’ve got to hear it!
  2. Ceasars’s Palace - Sort It Out
  3. Blur - Song Two

Of course, there were a lot of trouble with the band just before we should go up (I think they never even showed up) so we were delayed, and the audience started to thin out. After a while we got up on stage anyway and got the audience back. It was time to rock! :-) And so we did.

I actually think we made a pretty good performance. Well, the singer was slightly drunk, and yes, we didn’t play every note exactly right, but it really didn’t look as if the audience cared. :-) The sound was also not so great, but you really can’t blame us for that.
